Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is designed to support and equip industry professionals with an increased understanding of compliance with technical and legislative requirements.

New CCPD framework under development

The QBCC recently trialled a compulsory continuing professional development (CCPD) framework with a goal of developing a scheme to support the Queensland industry. If CCPD is legislated in Queensland, QBCC licensees will need to comply with professional development requirements before renewing their licence.

CCPD training helps workers to understand how to comply with legislation, including safety obligations, meet their business and legal obligations if they are a contractor, along with other technical information they need for their work, such as the National Construction Code.
