Follow the steps below to update details on your licence.

You will need to complete:
PSI change of particulars (PDF, 149KB)
Gather supporting documents
Gather documents that provide evidence of your new details such as change of address, name or PI insurance.
Relevant documents may include:
- evidence of your Professional Indemnity Insurance (Certificate of currency / Schedule of Insurance) with:
- 'Pool Safety Inspections' in the business description
- minimum cover of $1,000,000 per pool safety inspector
- a completed Professional indemnity insurance declaration form (PDF, KB) stating the company name of the PI holder, if relevant. (Required if the company holds the PI insurance on behalf of the individual licensee)
- certified copy of photographic proof of ID (e.g a colour copy of your passport or driver's licence).
Pay fees and lodge
Submit the form and copies of all documents to us:
- in person at a QBCC service centre
- by mail.
Renew
We will send you an annual renewal notice 20 business days before your licence expires.
- If you want your PSI licence to remain current you must give us everything we need to process your renewal before 5pm on the expiry date.
- If the licence is not renewed, it will expire that day and you are prohibited from performing pool safety inspector functions until a new application to restore the licence is made.
- If sending in by mail, we recommend posting 10 days before the expiry date to allow for postage delays and ensure we receive your renewal with time to process it.
Late payments
If we receive your renewal form after the expiry date we must:
- process it as a licence restoration
- charge you a restoration fee.
If you don't restore your licence within 3 months:
- your licence will be cancelled
- you will need to reapply for the licence.
Complete renewal notice
Complete the renewal notice form we sent to you in the mail.
Gather supporting documents
You need to provide us with:
- evidence of your professional indemnity insurance (Certificate of currency / Schedule of Insurance) with
- 'Pool Safety Inspections' in the business description
- minimum cover of $1,000,000 per pool safety inspector
- a completed Professional indemnity insurance declaration (PDF, 36.72KB) stating the company name of the PI holder, if relevant. (Required if the company holds the PI insurance on behalf of the individual licensee)
- certified copy of photographic proof of ID (e.g a colour copy of your passport or driver's licence).
- evidence of any required continuing professional development. This may be in the form of:
- certificates
- statements of attainment
- letters
- emails from course providers confirming that you have completed the activity.
Pay fees and lodge the form
Pay the fee by:
- BPAY through your online banking portal. Check your renewal notice for the BPAY biller code and your Customer Reference Number (CRN).

- completing credit card or debit card details on the form.
Submit the form and copies of all documents to us:
- in person at a QBCC service centre
- by mail.
Restore
You can restore your licence within 3 months after the renewal expiry date. After this time, you will need to make a full application.

You will need to provide us with:
- evidence of your Professional Indemnity Insurance (Certificate of currency / Schedule of Insurance) with
- 'Pool Safety Inspections' in the business description
- minimum cover of $1,000,000 per pool safety inspector
- a completed Professional indemnity insurance declaration (PDF, KB) stating the company name of the PI holder, if relevant. (Required if the company holds the PI insurance on behalf of the individual licensee)

- emails from course providers confirming that you have completed the activity.
NOTE: If a PSI licence has been expired for longer than 3 months, and you obtained the licence prior to 17 May 2012 you are required to send in a statement of attainment which you can be obtained from a current course provider. Certificates dated after 17 May 2012 are compliant.
Pay fees and lodge
Pay the licence restoration fee and submit the form and copies of all documents to us:
- in person at a QBCC service centre
- by mail.
Replace
You can request a replacement licence card if your:
- licence has been damaged, destroyed, lost or stolen
- personal details have changed
- professional indemnity insurance details have changed.
You can get it replaced by filling in a form and paying the fee.
If you never received your licence when you first applied, you can complete the statutory declaration on the form to waive the fee.

Supporting documents
If you wish to have your photo included on the licence card, you will need to provide:
- passport photo – 35mm wide x 40mm high. See the form for more guidelines about creating the perfect photo.
