
Under the Right to Information Act (RTI Act) you may apply to amend documents containing your personal information held by QBCC where you believe your personal information is:
- inaccurate, or
- misleading, or
- out of date, or
- incomplete.
This is known as a Right to Information (RTI) Amendment Application.
Before lodging your application, please contact us to check if your personal information can be amended informally by our customer service staff.
There is no fee applicable to an RTI Amendment Application.
How to apply
You can apply to amend your personal information by submitting the RTI—Apply to amend personal information form, or by writing to us with your request. Your written request must include sufficient information about the document you wish to amend to ensure it can be identified. Your request needs to be accompanied by your certified identification.
If someone (including a legal representative) is acting on your behalf or as your agent, you must provide:
- evidence that they have authority to act on your behalf
- a certified copy of their proof of identity
- a certified copy of your proof of identity.

What happens next?
We will assess your request and we have 25 business days from the date we receive your valid application to decide the application. We may request more time if the application is large or complex.
After we send you the result of your request, you can ask for a review of the decision if you do not agree with the decision or outcome.
