Photo licence cards provide greater security for QBCC licensees, with the inclusion of added anti-fraud protections such as:

  • holographic watermark only visible under ultraviolet light on the front of the card
  • a mirror foil stamp on the reverse side.

For home owners, photo licence cards offer a boost of confidence with a simpler way to verify licensed trades—an important step in any build or renovation project.

As the industry transitions to photo licence cards, there will be old and new licence card designs in circulation. The QBCC may not have a licensee's photo on file, so in some cases a licence may be issued without a photo.
